Meet Our Staff
Pastor Donnie O’Shields Founded Living Branch Ministries on October 16, 2001 and has been the Senior Pastor since it’s inception. Pastor O’Shields was born in Greenville, SC where he graduated from Carolina High School in 1977 and went on to earn an Associate Degree in Theology from CLST. Pastor O’Shields was saved in August of 1992. He married his wife, Dana, in 1995 and has 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
Pastor Dana O’Shields has been Co-Pastor of Living Branch Ministries since its founding. She was born in Greenville, SC where she graduated from Greer High School in 1965 and also went on to earn an Associate Degree in Theology from CLST. Pastors Donnie and Dana were in Inner-City ministry as Children’s Pastors and Associate Pastors from 1996-2001.
Pastor Ken Connell and his wife Amanda have been associated with Living Branch Ministries for over 10 years. Kenneth came to Living Branch as an ordained minister from a Pentecostal denomination and his wife also holds ministers license. They were ordained by Living Branch Ministries on July 17, 2005.
Pastor Connell has worked as a Pastor, Evangelist and church planter prior to joining Living Branch Ministries. pastored prior to this for several years. Along with South Carolina seeds of his ministry have been planted in West Virginia, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and Iowa. He served on a church state board, and as a regent on the board of Logos Bible College. Pastor Connell teaches Creation Science and Hebrew Studies and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education.
Rev Kenneth Connell was born in Dayton, Ohio to Rev James Connell and Wilma Hawks. The family moved to Iva, SC when Kenneth was 10 years old. Kenneth received his first minister’s certificate at age 15 and was first ordained in 1996. Kenneth married Amanda Gillespie Connell a Pickens CO, SC native. She holds a Bachelor’s in Christian Education focused on childhood and early elementary education. She has worked with children and teens most of her life. She taught private school, served on a state youth workers board, and taught a continuing education class for child care workers. The couple married September 8, 1979 and have two daughters. Their older daughter Antonia Connell Dobbins went to be with Jesus in 2004. She left behind two children Jacob and Sarah. Their younger daughter Teresa graduated Southern Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s in Science and continued her education receiving her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling. She currently works with troubled teen girls. The family is excited about what God is doing at Living Branch Ministries and thrilled to be a part.
Music Minister Stan Wilson has worked as Music Minister at Living Branch Ministries since April of 2013. He was born in Grenville, SC and grew up in Mauldin, SC. Stan surrendered his heart to the Lord in 1983 at a week of church youth camp. Stan married his wife, Esther, in 1997. They have two children, Micah and Bethany. Stan is also involved with a Christian men’s rehab home in Liberty, SC, called Home With a Heart. In their spare time, Stan and his family like to go camping in the mountains or at the beach. Stan counts it an honor and a privilege that the Lord has given him the opportunity to use his talent in this capacity and to be a small part of what the Lord is doing at Living Branch Ministries.
Wendy Bennett was born and raised in the small rural town of Temperance, Michigan. Born again in January, 1988. Studied at Living Light Bible Institute and Rhema Bible College and is an ordained minister. She also holds an Associates Degree in Business Management & Accounting. She moved to South Carolina in 1998. Ms. Bennett has been a member of Living Branch Ministries since 2011 where she works as the Church Secretary, Media Manager and helps lead the Spiritual Enrichment group.
Justin Carlisle was born in Easley, SC and raised in Dacusville, SC. He was saved in 2005 and knew that God had a purpose for his life within the church. He helped start a church in Easley before being called into ministry at Living Branch. He has a heart for local missions and students. He is an Eagle Scout. His wife, Teresa Connell Carlisle, was born in Anderson, SC and raised in Pickens, SC. She is a pastor’s daughter who has followed the calling of God in her family. She has helped plant churches and served on mission trips including West Virginia, New Orleans, and the Dominican Republic. She has worked with students for many years in different capacities. Mr & Mrs Carlisle lead the Student Ministry.
Bryan Bell was born in Fort Wayne Indiana. He started attending Church at the age of 11. In 2006, he fully committed his life to Christ. In 2008, Bryan relocated to Greer, South Carolina. This is when he started searching Gods purpose for his life. Bryan remains courageous in the Lord, while leading with integrity the Men of the church. His desire is for Men to be what God has called them to be in the home, at their jobs, in the church, in the community and to reach lost souls for the kingdom of Heaven. Bryan has been at Living Branch since January, 2016 and leads the men’s ministry called Fishers of Men.
Brenda Southerlin was born in Savannah, Georgia and was saved in 1979. She was married in 1972 and is the proud mother of 2 and the proud grandmother of 3. Brenda leads the prayer ministry at Living Branch Ministries.
Fran Hooker is the wife of Allen Hooker. They were married on November 1, 2015. Before his death in 2014, she was married to Mike Hensley. They were born and raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina where they met in high school and had been married 54 years. They have a son and daughter and three grandchildren. Fran was just a child when she received Jesus as her Savior. As she matured spiritually, a hunger to help other Christians discover the truths in God’s Word that equip for victorious living began to burn within her. That remains her passion as she teaches the Living Branch Ministries Spiritual Enrichment Group.
Pat Moore was born in Woodruff, SC. She graduated Woodruff High School in 1969, graduated Spartanburg School of Nursing in 1974, followed by a 32-year career in Med-Surg, Geriatrics, and Alzheimer’s Care. She has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys cooking and blessing others, rummage sales, and antique stores. Pat first came to Living Branch in November 2011 and has been a vital part of many ministries including the Food Bank and the Women’s Ministry.
